ANCIENT CITY TOUR (7 Nights 8 days)


Day 01:-

Arrive at the Airport you will meet by our Airport staff and English and Arabic speaking chauffer Guide.

Thereafter leave for Colombo (32km- transforming time Approximately 1 hours). Check in at a star class hotel in Colombo. It will select according to your wish.

Day 02:-

After the breakfast leave for Kandy. On the way to Kandy Visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage in the time to see the bathing and bottle feeding of the baby elephants.

Pinnawela orphanage is situated northwest of the town Kegalla, half way between the capital Colombo and the Royal residence Kandy in the hills of central Sri Lanka. It was Established 1975 by the Sri Lanka wildlife department. This is 24 acres large orphanage is also breeding pace for elephants, twenty elephants were born sine 1984, and it has the greatest herd of elephants in captivity in the world.

There after leave for Kandy. Check in at a star class Hotel in Kandy. It will select according to your wish.

Day 03:-

After breakfast leave for Sri Lanka’s one of the most popular botanical Garden (Peradeniya Royal botanic Garden)

Peradeniya botanic garden has lengthy and proud history. Punctuate by colonialism, and Industrial change. Through this period the garden has continued to florist and the plant collections and herbarium grown. Within the context of the 21st century, the garden represents a significant national asset for Sri Lanka.

Day 04:-

After the Breakfast sightseeing tour of Kandy including a visit to the temple of the tooth and upper lack drive.

The long a center of the Buddhist Faith, the stunning 17th – Century temple of the tooth ( Sri Dalada Maligawa) is believed to house the left upper canine tooth of the Lord Buddha him self. This precious relic attracts white – clad pilgrims, baring tutus blossoms and frangipani every day.

On the out side, the temple buildings are not magnificent or elaborately decorated, white with red roofs, they cluster around Kandy lack. (The Island in the middle once housed the king’s harem) In striking contrast to the plain exterior, the interiors of the temple buildings are richly carved. And it is decorated with inlaid woods, ivory, and lacquer. The relic of the tooth is kept in a two story inner shrine fronted by two large elephant tusks. The relic rests on solid gold tutus, flower, encased in jeweled caskets that site on a throne.

PM: – Transfer to Dambulla en route visiting the ROCK CAVE TEMPLE OF DAMBULLA (Transforming time approximately – 02 hour).

Golden Temple of Dambulla is a world heritage site (1991) in Sri Lanka, situated in the central parte of the country. This site is situated 72km north of Kandy. It is the largest and preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160m over the surrounding plains. There more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area. Major attractions are spread over five caves, which contain statues and paintings. These paintings and statues are related to Lord Buddha and his life. The murals cover an area of 2100 square meters. Depiction on the walls of the caves includes the temptation by the demon Mara, and Buddha’s first sermon.

Day 05:-

After breakfast climb the rock fortress of Sigiriya. (20km transfer time approximately 30 minuets)

Sigiriya (Lion’s Rock) is an ancient rock fortress and places ruin situated in the central Matale district of Sri Lanka, Surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, reservoirs, and other structures. A popular tourist destination, Sigiriya is also renowned for its ancient paintings which are reminiscent of the Ajanta Caves of India.

The Sigiriya was build during the rains of king Kassiyappan I (AD 477-495) it is one of the seven world heritage sites of Sri Lanka.

PM: – At leisure or optional Elephant back safari through the jungle of Habarana

Habarana is a small city in the Anuradhapura district of Sri Lanka. The city is famed for its chain of high class tourist resorts. Hubarana is a popular tourist destination for safari lovers as it is the starting point for safari in the near by Hubarana jungle and the minneriya sanctuary which is heavily populated by elephants. An elephant back riding is also an attraction in this small city. Habarana is situated near by to the Eighth wonder of the world Sigiriya.

Day 06:-

After breakfast leave to Anuradhapura. It was founded by the Sinhalese king Pandukabaya as his capital city in 437 BC. Anuradhapura was a Buddhist center, abandoned After a Tamil invasion in 993AD, the capital for 1500 years of rulers on the Island of Sri Lanka. The history of the city is documented in the Buddhist chronicle Mahavamsa, Designated as a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1982.

Two of the world heritage sites are situated in Anuradhapura. And many placed of historical and archeological interest could be visited. Sri Maha Bodhi Is perhaps the oldest living treads in the world. Around 245 BC, it was brought as a sapling of the tree under which princes Siddhartha attained to enlightenment. The Brazen Palace (2nd century BC) is the 1600 stone columns you see are all that is left of a magnificent multi – storied residence for monks. Ruwenwalisaya (2nd century BC) is the most famous of the entire Dagobas king Dutugemuna of Sri Lanka built this magnificent stupa. The stupa is known as Ruwenwalisaya, Mahathu Swarnamali chitya and Rathnamali Dagaba. The compounded is supported by stone elephants, and the surrounding wall is decorated with 1,900 figures of elephants – 475 on each side, successive kings added to the place over the years.


Transfer to Aukana

The Aukana Buddha statue beyond doubt is the most magnificent, undamaged statue in Sri Lanka. It has been build in the reign of king Dhatusena in the 5th century and it is 39 feet (12meters) high. The name Aukana means Sun – eating.

City tour of Colombo including last minutes shopping

Colombo city is administrative and judicial capital of Sri Lank. Situated on the west coast of the island, just south of the Kelani River, Colombo is a principal port of the Indian Ocean. It has one of the largest artificial harbors in the world, and handles the majority of Sri Lanka’s foreign trade. There are modern facilities for Containerized cargo. Gem Cutting is a Colombo specialty, other industries include food, tobacco processing, metal Fabrication, engineering, and the manufacture of chemical, textiles, glass, cement, leather…. etc.

The city is the largest town in the island country of Sri Lanka. It is the Economic Capital of the country as well as the administrative one. The city has a busting economy based on among other things tourism, there is a whole lot being done by the government to promote resorts and when it comes to shopping there are lot more to Sri Lanka. Than merely Ceylon Tea, plus there are great shopping malls in Colombo that help you picking up some truly memorable mementos.

Day 08:-

After the breakfast transfer to the Airport for the connecting flight. (Departure)
